- Condition C: Be pursuing a PhD with sponsorship at least 24 months after your course began.

If you’re in a relationship with a British citizen or someone settled in the UK, you can switch to a family visa by proving:
- You’re married, in a civil partnership, or have been in a relationship for 2+ years.
- You meet the English language requirement (CEFR level A1).
- Your household income is £18,600 or more (additional requirements apply for children).

If your partner holds a visa in the UK (like a work or student visa), you can switch to a dependant visa. For example, switching from a student or Skilled Worker visa to a dependant visa.
